New Course. Trends in retail technology.
Starts in February 2004.

We are drowning in information and starved for knowledge
1 day crash course for executive retail management.

Introduction

In the past few years many retail organizations have begun to successfully turn raw data into valuable information to gain an advantage over competitors, manage inventory more efficiently, and optimize relations with vendors.
However, there is a growing gap between more powerful storage and retrieval systems and the users' ability to effectively analyze and act on the information their systems contain. A new technological leap is needed to structure and prioritize information for solution to specific end-user problems.

The purpose of the course is to give executive retail management a fresh perspective on how different organizations benefit from new developments in retail technology, what solutions are available on the market, and what value these solutions add to retail businesses. There is strong emphasis on inventory management, assortment, merchandise planning, promotions and special events.

Real life case studies are provided and analyzed to clearly illustrate how technology has affected retail management.
Finally, time is devoted to discussing the situation in the participant's business, and analyzing potential applicability and profitability of various solutions to their business.

You get the valuable and focused executive information you need right at your workplace in a short crash course.
The benefits flow back to you for years.
